Round 2 - Callani

I'm going to begin every household with a family photo from now on, when the introductions already has been made. If you want to know more about the specific members of the family, just follow the tags at the end of the post until you find Round 1 - Callani.
Row 1: Akinyi Nixeira (slave, standing), Marianus Nixeira (slave, standing), Caelina Nixeira (slave, standing)
Row 2: Varius Callani (heir, standing), Zephania Callani (Emperor, sitting), Monifa Callani (Emperor's wife, sitting), Januarius (third son, standing)
Row 3: Albanus Callani (second son, sitting), Marcellina Callani (second daughter, sitting)
The difference since last round are the two younger slaves - Vibianus was killed and Nona reached the age of marriage, and both were replaced. Marianus is only here one round, before he begins a hard life full of training and fights, as a gladiator. The firstborn daughter, Saturnina, has also left the Palace to marry Caecilius Callarai.

Unlike his father, who is a man of the military, Varius is more focused on the politics of the Empire, and chooses that as his job.

Zephania and Monifa has lived together since their teens and their love is still strong, even though Zephania is a romance sim. I can't say he's been completely faithful, though.

This was just too cute. I have a similar picture of these two when Monifa was just a teenager and my heart melted a little when I saw them still doing this.

Marianus pokes Marcellina in the chest and she quickly tells him what happens to slaves who aren't obedient if she just tells her father. Marianus doesn't touch her again.

That night it's time for our little princess (or whatever she is, probably not a princess) to have her birthday.

Here she is. Marcellina is an active fortune sim, and I believe she looks just like her sister Saturnina, except for the green eyes.

Her betrothed Hortensius Callarai is at her party, and she tries to get to know him. I'm very pleased to see they seem to get along, unlike the situation with her sister, who's enemies with her future husband...

Marianus becomes a teenager as well the following day. He's an outgoing popularity sim (I'm a little surprised that he found his life "pretty well" lol but ok).

Monifa was only planning her second son's birthday party when suddenly she was literally staring death in the face. Her time in this neighborhood seems to be up.

Saturnina has a breakdown, Zephania starts crying, Andile makes a sad face, and Caecilius... smiles?! Of course, seeing his poor future wife miserable makes him happy. He's a douchebag.

Show must go on - Albanus still grows into an adult. He doesn't grow up well, though, but he'll be alright soon.

Here we have him. There is still no Patrician girl for him to marry, so he'll stay at the Palace until one is born and comes of age... Then they'll start their own life as Patricians.

Oh these two... Why can't they just be as cute as Abeni and Andile? Sigh... I bet one of them is going to end up murdered as soon as Caecilius becomes an adult too.

They head to the Baths and Zephania has some fun gossiping about the common people with Chinwe Callarai.

It seems like Marianus makes an excellent alien-impression. I'm sure Marcellina is very impressed.

When they come back home, death is waiting outside the gates. It's time for our first Emperor's reign to end, already. Say goodbye to Zephania, everyone. He did manage to get the neighborhood's first platinum grave.

With Zephania dead, we have a new Emperor. Let's welcome Emperor Varius to the throne, may his reign be long and prosperous!
