The Zima family is a big and separated slave family. Two of the members - mother Uduak and one of the sons, Seneca - work for different Patricians. The oldest daughter Fulvia already left the home to marry another slave, and the remaining members are living in a small, low-standard apartment where they share one room. Dalitso Zima is the father of the family. He's an outgoing knowledge sim.
Martina Zima is the second oldest child, and the oldest one still living with her father. She likes to live with all her siblings, since she's a family sim. She's also active.
Tatianus Zima is his parents firstborn son, but since they don't own anything, he doesn't have anything to inherit and being heir of nothing doesn't help him much. He's a shy romance sim.
Septimius Zima is a sloppy popularity sim, who is separated from his twin brother, Seneca, as he's working for one of the rich families.
The family's youngest son is Blandinus Zima. He's also a family sim, and outgoing like his father.
The two youngest children of Dalitso and Uduak are still little girls. This is Aurelia.
And this is Luciana. I will tell you more about them when they become teenagers.
Life in the Slave Apartments isn't as easy as in all the other places. They don't have any bath or shower and live in one crowded room. It's not strange that the girls prefer climbing outside to staying in the apartment. And those body-skills might come handy in case they are summoned to the Colosseum one day, for fighting.
They don't have access to a kitchen either, and have to buy their meals. For a big family with no income, this gets very costly, and that's why it's not strange for the slaves to do criminal activities if they get a chance. But so far, Dalitso is trying to keep his family away from crime.
This is how the family sleeps, all seven sharing straw beds.
Dalitso and his wife share a rare moment. She can't come visit them often, since she's working for the Callarai's, but she tries as often as possible.
These living conditions are not healthy, something the whole family experiences when Blandinus collapses and dies from the cold that's running around in the neighborhood (I don't even have realistic sickness, didn't expect this at all)...
The unfairness of it all makes Luciana have a fit of rage.
Goodbye Blandinus!
Things look a little brighter as it's time for two of the Zima-kids to have their birthday. First up is Martina, who's becoming an adult. She's leaving and marrying next round.
And the second one is little Aurelia, who's leaving childhood. Their mother Uduak was able to come visit them in time for the birthdays.
Here's Martina, all grown up.
And Aurelia as a teenager. She's an outgoing fortune sim. Not the best aspiration for a slave...
The next day they make a much needed trip to the bathing house, where they spend all day. I think they were enjoying this a lot!
With everyone in their best mood, it wasn't difficult to cheer them up again after Blandinus death.
