Round 1 - The Colosseum

Round 1 has ended, but there is one thing left to be done. It's time for the very first Colosseum slave death! The Emperor's family has gathered and Januarius is excitedly talking about the magic that's about to happen.
The Callani's has chosen two slave children, who are siblings, to fight to the death. The reason for this is because one of their slaves, Nona Nixeira, attacked and killed another one of their slaves, Vibianus Zimayo, in their very own kitchen! As punishment, they decided that Nona's two youngest siblings are going to do the same, and here they are.
Their names are Marianus and Fabiola Nixeira. They don't seem too scared at first. Marianus is the older one of them, but Fabiola isn't as weak and innocent as she looks. She's done something similar to this before - this round, she killed her own twin brother.
The children start playing cops and robbers, and Fabiola acts as if she's been killed by her brother - maybe they think they can trick the Emperor's family and get out of there alive, both of them.
They also try hitting each other with pillows - maybe we could call it a warm up - but no trick they have up their little sleeves are working. The Emperor still wants one of them dead by the other ones hands.
Marianus gets finally gets frustrated and starts poking his sister. According to him, he shouldn't even have to be there, but she deserves it, after what she did to their brother Aemilius.
And then, the fight breaks out, to the Callani's delight.
Big brother Marianus is the one victorious in the end, and Fabiola dies. However, the Emperor's family decides that Marianus will not be returning to his brother's apartment - instead, they see a potential to turn this into a famous sports event. They imagine having Marianus as a gladiator; fighting other slaves like this while the rich families bet their money on who's going to win. And if he is victorious, the money go to the Callani's, who own him. Maybe the Patricians even will make their own gladiators! Wouldn't that be great fun and absolutely perfect?

Just some facts about Round 1 now when it's finished:
Births: 5
Weddings: 1
Deaths: 5

(I drew the names of these two, personally I wish they weren't children, but yeah that happened...)
