Round 6 - The Colosseum

Another round done, or nearly at least. There's still one thing to do, and the presence of the Emperor's family in the Colosseum should remind everyone of what that is. This is Empress Sabina's first time on the Emperor's balcony.
Since there is room for a new gladiator after the death of Marianus, this won't be a gladiator fight, but between two randomly chosen slaves. The winner becomes the new gladiator, and the loser dies.
As the Empress takes this moment to announce a pregnancy, I'll introduce you to the poor chosen competitors. Probably because of the high amount of little girls in the neighborhood at the moment, the drawn names both belonged to little girls. They are Glaucia Zima and Joce Nixotho.
Glaucia tries to intimidate her opponent.
All the initiative seems to come from little Glaucia, who must have a strong survival instinct.
When the fight breaks out, it's also at her initiative. But will this instinct lead her to victory?
It seems so. Little Glaucia Zima wins, giving the place among the gladiators to her, while the opponent Joce Nixotho dies. I'm sure her close twin brother Job will be devastated by this. She's the first sim to be born and die in the same round.

With this tragic ending, I declare Round 6/18 (Roman rounds/Total rounds) done. A lot has happened: generation 4 has started to become adults, and generation 5 is born. This should mean we're halfway through the Roman Era.
Round 6 statistics:
Births: 21 (which is a new record by far)
Weddings: 1
Deaths: 5
An increase of 16 sims in the neighborhood this season, which is just insane. When all of these children grow up, I'll be having a massive amount of households to play.

Round 6 - Gladiators

Time for another round with the enemy gladiator brothers constantly trying to kill each other.
Row 1: Marianus Nixeira (father of Nixianus children), Tacitus Nixeira (father of Nixitus children), Septimius Zima (father of Zimius children)

Yeah, they still poke and slap and threaten each other whenever they get the opportunity.
Let's go right away I guess... Sigh. If Marianus loses one more fight, he's dead. Tacitus has to lose two.
Good job Marianus. Now we know for sure that their next fight will be the last one.
Marianus has his little wife Drusa over. I hope he's the one to survive this rivalry, since these two still can have lots of kids, while Tacitus' wife is too old for any more.
Septimius throws a nice little party with his wife and one of his daughters as guests.
One evening, Septimius siblings Tatianus (with his wife) and Luciana come over too.
Why have a nice time at the Baths when you can hit each other?
Or even try to kill each other...
Of course. Tacitus wins, Marianus dies.
Poor Drusa.
And then the Emperor stole their newspaper, lol.
Tacitus wife Martina comes by and has a breakdown when she hears that he killed his brother. As you can see, he patienty waits so that they can WooHoo. What a loving man...

Round 6 - Nixianus

Time for the new household of the round. Drusa is another pregnant generation 4, just like her twin sister. Their babies are my first generation 5 children, which is very exciting. She's expecting the bastard of the Emperor's brother Albanus, who arranged a marriage between her and the gladiator Marianus when her pregnancy started showing.
Row 1: Drusa Nixianus (Head of the family, sitting)

Just to remind you of just how pregnant she is.
Funny enough, these two didn't mind marrying each other - they had a fight (yes, a real one) some round ago where Marianus killed Drusa. But umm, that seems to be forgotten and forgiven. After this ceremony, Drusa Nixeira becomes Drusa Nixianus.
The next day, it's time to give birth.
Her father is with her for support as she delivers a little girl, named Greta Nixeira.
With the girl born, it's time for Drusa and Marianus to have children of their own. They look pretty much the same, so there shouldn't be much variety among their kids...
Drusa is a family sim and she's doing an alright job with the baby.
Birthday time!
Greta looks just like Albanus, lol. It's not really going to be hard guessing her father is a patrician - those eyes only exist among them. Until now, of course.
Drusa seems extremely shocked when her second pregnancy announces itself.
Having a toddler appears to be more fun than having a baby, as Drusa plays a lot more with Greta now that she's a little bigger.
Someone's excited about the second child.
But first, she needs to have her birthday into an adult.
Here she is.
And now it's time!
Drusa and Marianus first child is a little boy, named Mathis.

Round 6 - Nixotho

This isn't much of a family yet, since Agrippina is still expecting her first child. It's due any moment, though. Her husband Otho is working for the Callarai's.
Row 1: Agrippina Nixotho (Head of the family, sitting)

When I say any moment, I mean it! First thing to happen is this.
It's a girl! Her name is Joce.
"I'm just gonna put you here..."
Yep, it's twins! The second one is a boy, named Job.
Once the babies are taken cared of, Agrippina has her birthday into an adult.
And here she is now.
Husband Otho comes over for an attempt at another baby (not like they need one more but yeah).
Finally a father who doesn't ignore the babies just because he's not living with them. Maybe it's because he's a family sim.
They sure are fertile...
The twins have their birthday. Here's Joce.
And her brother Job.
They turn out to be extremely social, both of them. They spend all their time either huggling each other...
Or stalking their mother, taking turns asking for attention wherever she goes. Too cute!
Agrippina is back to eating desserts all day.
It's already time for the twins to have a little sibling.
The third child is a girl, named Osanne.
I told you they were fertile...
And the fourth one is a boy, called Fremin. We now have four kids in diapers in the apartment. Yay...
Job takes the initiative to most of the huggles.
A+ to Otho!
Whenever their father is visiting, the toddlers stalk him instead.
They have time for another birthday.
Here's little Joce.
And this is Job!
