Round 1 - Callarai

Callarai is a new family, and it's founder, the younger brother of Emperor Zephania, Dakarai Callani is dead. His widow and three sons have this last name anyway, and they are one of the Patrician families. Since her husband is dead and his heir still too young to marry, Chinwe Callarai is head of the house this round. She's a neat and grouchy fortune sim.
She has three sons. The oldest one and the heir is Caecilius Callarai. He is betrothed to the Emperor's oldest daughter, Saturnina, and is a neat popularity sim.
The second son is Hortensius Callarai, also a popularity sim, and very nice. He will marry the Emperor's younger daughter Marcella when they grow older.
The youngest of the Callarai boys is Manlius. Since he is only a child I'll tell you more about him when he becomes a teenager.
The family has two slaves living with them. The older one is Uduak Zima, who had to leave eight children behind (although only two of them are still actually children). Luckily, their father is with them. She also happens to be Chinwe's oldest sister, but I'm not even sure if they remember this. They don't act like it, anyway.
The younger one is Tacitus Nixeira, still only a child. His father is dead and his mother works at the Palace, meaning he has six siblings alone in a small apartment somewhere in the neighborhood. Maybe his life will be better here.
The Callarai's own a bakery, which is easy for them with a kitchen slave as Uduak, who does almost nothing but cook and help with the bakery while Tacitus runs around and cleans until he's old enough to help with the business, too.
Meanwhile, the family is doing some of the work too. Chinwe usually works as cashier while her sons help with the sales.
It doesn't take long before the slave boy becomes a teenager. He happens to be a knowledge sim, and very playful.
Tacitus being a teenager means that the slaves now do all the work in the bakery while the family does whatever pleases them elsewhere.
Caecilius betrothed Saturnina comes to the bakery one day. He does his best to impress his cousin but I wouldn't say that things go very well.
When the Emperor himself shows interest in buying some pastries, Chinwe puts on her most charming face and tries to sell it herself while she pretends she's not super excited to have him in her store.
Being a slave and not allowed to bath in other places than the Bathing House is tough...
And being unmarried seems to be tough on Chinwe aswell. One day, she starts making advances on Tacitus, who of course happily accepts them...
Little Manlius has his birthday. I accidentally closed the store a little too late and everyone I summoned left the lot. Hehe, oops. At least he grew up well.
Here we have him. He's a shy and active romance sim. Still looks a lot like his mother, more than any of his brothers.
That night, Chinwe seduces Tacitus and takes him to her bed. The fact that he's younger than two of her sons doesn't seem to bother her. Sims...
The next day they head to the Bathing House and the slaves finally get their showers and baths while the Patricians relax in the hot water.
I think Uduak's few days as a slave has damaged her some, since she's trying to mop up the rain puddles...
Caecilius met his betrothed Saturnina at the Bathing House, and they interacted some. When they came home, I saw this. Seems like they have some work to do before their wedding next round or someone is going to get killed...
