Round 8 - The Colosseum

The little heir Agapetus is finally old enough to come with his family to the Colosseum and watch a game this round, and of course, he's very excited.

Today's gladiator challenger has been randomly chosen to be old Quintus Nixeira, head of the ancient Nixeira family.

He'll be facing his own long lost brother, the gladiator Tacitus.

Tactius is right on to the point, and after a brotherly hug, the slapping begins.

It doesn't seem like Quintus was quite ready for what's happening, as he pees himself in fear.

He doesn't fight back a single time, until Tacitus outright attacks him. Can he beat his little brother?

Unfortunately, he can't. The long life of Quintus Nixeira has come to an end in the Colosseum.

The rounds are starting to get really long with the current number of households. However, we did lose one this round; the Nixitus household is no longer with us. We finally got to see boys being born again, and the number of girls without a betrothed dramatically decreased from 14 to 6. At last! The neighborhood also reached 100 living residents, and our generation 5 girls became teenagers, which means the number of rounds left in the Roman Era can be counted with three fingers, hehe. Yay!

Round 8 - Gladiators

As usual, our gladiator household is the last one of the round, right before their big moment in the Colosseum.
Row 1: Septimius Zima (father of Zimius children), Tacitus Nixeira, Glaucia Zima

Sweet little Glaucia is a huge favourite among the Emperor's family, being best friends with more than one of the members.

And this round, she becomes a teenager. Please excuse Septimius, lol... How inappropriate.

Here she is. I bet she'd be very pretty with some make-up, haha...

Glaucia is not the only one who has a birthday this round. Her uncle Septimius does too.

Here's the old man! Still didn't lose a fight in his life - we'll see if his age changes that.

Tacitus has very recently lost his wife and two of his three children, but he doesn't show any emotion about it. I think his rough life has made his heart into stone.

Yeah, he definitely seems to be over Martina, as he seduces young Glaucia at the Baths...

Once they started, they continued at home. In total, they WooHoo'd four times the last day of the round only. That's one way to mourn your dead family...

Round 8 - Nixianus

One of the most unique families in the neighborhood is this little one. Drusa is a widow, and these three children are all bastards of the patrician Albanus Callani. Her one trueborn child and only son are working at his house.

Drusa just killed the mother of these three children. She doesn't seem too regretful about it.

The twins had their birthday. Here's Cecilia, the black haired one.

And this is Mechtilde, our little redhead.

Drusa receives help from her father, who she's very close to.

But I have to admit she's a good mother. As a family sim, it's not strange.

The girls seem a lot nicer, though. At least they get along well with each other!

Round 8 - Nixotho

This little family is a lucky one. Osanne and Fremin had to spend most of their days as toddlers all by themselves, but thanks to good Empress Sabina, their mother is back with them from the dead. Other members of this family is the father Otho Nixsana and the oldest son, Job Nixotho, who are both working for patrician families.

Agrippina was resurrected earlier this round and just returned to the household.

I didn't expect any reaction from the children when they woke up to see their mother back with them, but I was wrong.

Seeing them realize their mother was sleeping next to them made my heart melt!

Agrippina wasn't about to let her little kids out of her sight again.

However, she died pregnant, and it was soon time for another little one.

Hers and Otho's fifth child is a little boy named Bertran.

As he was being born, I noticed newly married Petronius flirt with the widow Drusa...

Otho was happy to be back for more baby-making.

Bertran had his birthday!

Here's the little kid.

But then, all the cloudy happiness was shattered, as Drusa attacked Agrippina.

And killed her. Typical...

Bye, Agrippina. There won't be a second resurrection...

Poor, poor children, all alone again. At least they had a second chance, and Bertran got to be born...

Osanne takes the responsibility over their little brother.

But she's deep in aspiration failure herself, and when no one sees, she throws frustrated tantrums.

Bertran's days as a toddler were a little bit out of control with no adult to tell him what not to do...

But he got through them!

And this is what he looks like now, as a child.
